Episode 199: Strange Grooves x Radical Fabulatorium: Music, Creativity & Community

For Episode 199 of Strange Grooves, we're joined by Jai, host of Radical Fabulatorium on Local 107.3 FM, for a conversation about music, creativity, community, and the strange ways they all connect. We are so stoked to be back at 107.3 Campus radio seeing all the archives, the show posters, the cds and most of all the people.

We dive into Jai's journey from playing bass and promoting local shows to hosting a radio program focused on artists, ideas, and creative expression. Along the way, we compare notes on interviewing musicians, finding your creative voice, and figuring out when to stop overthinking and just hit publish.

We also explore the role music plays in bringing people together, building community, and creating a sense of belonging. From New Brunswick's thriving Francophone and Acadian music scenes to the artists and albums currently on repeat, there's plenty of music nerding out to go around.

Plus, Jai introduces us to Rolo Tomassi, we talk Turnstile, and share a few recommendations you might want to add to your next listening session.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to talk to people about music, to share their spaces and we really appreciate the support. We hope you enjoy this episode.
